Plant identification?

i can't seem to identify a plant that we have here at home. the most i can say is that it belongs to the compositae family. it is an herb. it has 4 -6 yellow ray flowers, and the disk flowers look yellow from the top. the ray flowers are not pointed at the tip, a bit flat in fact. the leaves are narrow, and the margin is serrate when you look very closely. it has a mildly unpleasant odor (i find it unpleasant, but it may not be for many) that sticks to your hands when you touch the flower too long. the arrangement of the leaves is opposite decussate. the bracts/phyllary are/is fused, and the ovary is brown (disk flowers)

any ideas?
