Men or women from a man's perspective...?

When you go out of your way to surprise that special someone, with flowers do you just have the florist pick the arrangement, do you send the standard dozen red roses or do you actually pick them yourself?



I always pick my boo's flowers; 4 red, 4 pink %26amp; 4 white.

Its a rare day I get flowers....if and when I do they are the wupermarket mixed variety. Not even sure he knows what my faves are!

Reply:When I give flowers to my husband, I always try to include something unusual in the arrangement, like a man-sized chocolate bar, or a nice stem of bamboo. I like for the arrangement to look masculine. Too bad they don't have remote controls or bottles of beer at the florist!



I also try to make sure that they're always delivered on a day that he'd never be expecting it. It's funny because he falls for it almost every time! The flowers arrive, and he gives me the look that says, "who in the h*** is sending you flowers this time" though they've always been for him! LOL

Reply:I go to the florist, and I tell him/her kinda what I was thinking of, flowers that my girlfriend at the time likes, the price range I'm working with, and we work together to get something thats excellent!



I've noticed that if you're a befuddled guy, and you ask florists nicely, and work with them, sometimes they will give you a discount, or throw in some free flowers! :-)

Reply:My man usually picks out my favorite colors. He changes them up every once in a while. Once he gave me a bouquet with a single rose and said that he didnt care for roses, but the one in the bouquet reminded him of me because it was perfect.
Reply:I know what kind of flowers my wife likes, so I just tell that to the florist and allow him / her to pick me some. They often add some other small decorative flowers to enhance the look too.
Reply:I usually look at the selection that they have premade and decide from there. I don't like the standard roses personally.

Reply:My man is allergic to those beautiful flowers; However, when Mother's Day comes, I pick her flowers from her garden :-)

Reply:I would go through the trouble to pick them out. And it would probably be something off the wall...out of the norm not off the wall of the shop...
