which vase would be easier and use less flowers?

Gerbera daisy arrangements?
I'd say the second vase would be easier, too. I am using gerberas in my wedding, too. My florist lady is only putting five gerberas per vase, and the vases are similar to yours, they just don't get wider on the top. She is taking colored wire and wrapping it around the stems of the gerberas so that they don't fall to the side and so that you can see the color through the vase. Then, she's sticking river rock at the bottom to hold them upright, too. We're having four small square votives around the centerpeices for the glow effect. Hope this gives you ideas!
Reply:The second one will take less flowers and be easier to arrange. I think that for Gerberas it would take about 8-15 flowers per vase, depending upon how full you want them to look. Silk flowers are cheaper, but the Gerberas might be harder to find. Check into bulk flowers online or at the florist, the cost is usually a lot less than having the florist do the arrangements.

Here is an example of a wholesale flower distributor, but there are a lot more.
Reply:I'm getting married October 4th and my centerpieces look just like your first picture. They are low, square vases. I got them for $1.97 each at Super Wal Mart. I am going to put river rocks on the bottom, fill them with water, and put either 1-3 gerber daisy heads floating on the top. I'll decide what amount is right. One may be perfect an balanced, or it may look like to little That's why I may put 3 heads in to still make it balanced. I'm also thinking about tying a ribbon in my wedding color around the middle of the vase as well. Good luck!
Reply:I like silk flowers but if you can aford it go with real for your daisies i don't know why but that don't come out looking so great i think the first vase would be nice with like 4 or 5 daisies cut short in it but the second one would work with only one for a beastro type look or two or three with longer steams in diferent colors for a springy look
Reply:#2 would need less flowers. probly 6 each cut at varied lengths for dimension.

and gerberas can be cheap - try getting them from a grocery stores floral dpt over ordering from a florist.

or buy them from an online distributor.

i'm using silks for my flowers and arrangements. the silk ones tend to be smaller than the real ones. unless you get the ones from michaels or other craft stores. but they might not have the colors you need.
Reply:Many like the dozen

others like 15 stems for larger standard glass floral vases

many trays when ordering wholesale, or picking up from a distributor come in 48 stems so i would go according to the size of your vases, if they're pretty much standard banquet sized vase go with 12, 15 for a fuller arrangement
Reply:I think the second one would be easier, would take less flowers, and I think it looks nicer for table centerpieces. Not too familiar with gerber daisies or anything, but that's just what I think. Good luck.

Reply:the second would hold less flowers

the first you would need more flowers and shorter stems

id go with #2
Reply:Just don't use silk flower
