Please name some flowers that would make a nice wedding bouquet?!?

I'm getting married Nov. 1st and a friend of my fiance's family said as our wedding gift she is going to pay/do all our flowers (yippy)! She has been asking about what flowers do I want in mine and my bridesmaids bouquets. I have no idea?! I know my colors are apple red, silver and white. I was thinking that my bridesmaids have white flowers (since they're dressed in red) and mine be red. Can you please give me some good floral arrangement ideas? Thanks!

I love Gerbers. I think that they are just the most beautiful flowers. Roses, Lilys, Tulips, would also be very beautiful.
Reply:I got married in October of 06, and at first wanted to go with flowers that were in season or colored flowers. But then I decided to go with all white flowers to keep it simple, classy and elegant. And something about white flowers just says "wedding" to me. All I knew was that I wanted white lillies in my bouquet. I told the flower shop to do my bouquet in all white flowers, mostly made up of lillies. I know they used roses, baby's breath, but other than that I can't even name what else they used.....but it was soooo beautiful. For my bridesmaids, I did single stems of white lillies. They were beautiful. Good luck, and congratulations!
Reply:Some ideas for flowers- roses, amaryallis flowers- in red, casablanca lillies,Gerber daisies and Red cala lillies or purple. These are a start and each are beautiful in their own way.
Reply:roses are classic and lillys are pretty you could mix them together for your bouquet and your bridesmaids could do either or both or you could do a research and see what different flowers mean and pick which ones you feel more comfortable with
Reply:Roses are so over used! Try Stargazer lilies:

You can use silver ribbon to hold the flowers or place silver and crystal bouquet stems in them. http://www.bouquetstems.com/bouquetstems...

OR you can even use a silver bouquet holder (tussy mussy) which would be really pretty- http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product...
