Dealing with poor service? Can I take an future action?

I used 'flowers for all occassions' in herts.Same day del for best mate bday, they didn't del. I rang to complain, they were very matter of fact, said would be del next day.In t%26amp;c says they do their best but might not be able to deliver - but I sent 3 emails this has to be del 2day (only at location for 1 day), can you pls,pls call me%26amp;I will make other arrangement if you can't - as bm8 was working away, was being del to hotel (so no excuse for no1 there)-They didn't seem to care that I had missed my bm8 bday - offered no explanation for failed del.One person said it had left (i.e. not their responsibility)%26amp; manager then acknowledged it hadn't - They gave a refund, but I can't get that day back, the money wasn't important, it's the lost sentiment and the fact my bm8 thought I'd forgotten was meant to be a surprise (as they were having bad day at work also, to lift them) - feel very dissappointed and like let my friend down, made worse by company that couldn't

Dealing with poor service? Can I take an future action?
Write a letter addressed to the owner explaining your complaint and tell them you will not be using their service in the future and you will be telling all your family and friends about their poor service.

This will be no compensation to you but should give you some satisfaction!

Nothing worse than poor service from a shop!
Reply:I think you should take further action - they should know that their staff are incompetent.

E-mail the Director and see what he has to say!

Good Luck :)
Reply:We don't complain enough in this country. I don't overly moan about things but if you don't get the service that you expect (or that should be given from somewhere) then you should complain. As mentioned, a refund is all you will probably get but that wouldn't stop me writing a letter firstly to the company explaining how they let me down, how I won't be using them again and how I will tell all my friends how poor their service was, and secondly, I would be tempted to write a letter to my local newspaper detailing the situation and the poor service. It is amazing what people/companies will do to stop bad publicity.

Don't blackmail them, they should have provided a service and have failed in doing so - don't let it happen to others. Don't be afraid, after all, what have you got to lose??
Reply:If you've already get a refund I think it's the best you're going to get to be honest. All you can do is not use that company again. Explain to your mate that you were let down and then maybe treat them to a nice meal or something to make up for it.
