* change of percent math *?

A flower arrangement contained4 roses 5 mums 4 lillies and 2 daisies. what percent of the arangement were mums? show me how you do that.

* change of percent math *?
just remember that once you do 5/15 you need to multiply by 100 to get the percentage
Reply:4+5+4+2=15 total flowers

there are 5 mums so it's 5/15

which is 1/3 or 33.3%
Reply:Ok here is what you do in order:

1) 5 mums + 4 lilies + 4 roses + 2 daisies = 15 flowers in total.

2) 5 mums / 15 flowers in total = .3333 OR 33% mums.

So what you basically do is add all the flowers together to get 15 and then divide 5 mums (what you want to get the percent of) by 15 flowers in total. =] I really hope that helps!
Reply:always remember: "is divided by of"

5 divided by 15 total

5/15 is 33.33%
Reply:theres 5 mums out of the (5+4+4+2) 15 flowers. then set the equation to 5/15. then divide top into the bottom, and you get 33.33%.
Reply:You just divide the total number of mums by the total flowers.

There were 5 mums and a total of 15 flowers.

5 out of 15 or 5/15 were mums

5/15 = 1/3 so 1/3 were mums

1/3 = .3 repeating or 33.3%
