A mothers day gift that is inexspensive?

i need a flower that is inexspensive and can handle a lot of sun and will good in an "outdoor" arrangement in a huge pot for my mother-n-law for mothers day I need a pretty durable flower as she is not a gardner and loves flowers but not the care required so I need a very low maitenance plant as well. any ideas?

Lovely colours, cheap, strong, flower all summer long.

To help her a bit, get a wide, round, low pot with a water reservoir at the bottom - many plastic pots have this. The best kind will let the reservoir overflow if you overfill it.

Fill it up with soil and the plants - all she has to do is water it every so often. With the reservoir it'll be good for a week at least.
Reply:I would recommend either a rose bush or some day lillies. They come back every year. The lillies multiply fast. You can buy them both at walmart for under 5.00.

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two and family would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!



The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.



Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.



Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
