What flowers are in season in late june?

I am getting married in late June and would like to know what flowers are in season. What is the average cost of a medium sized bouquet? And is it okay to have my bridesmaids only carry one or two flowers? Is it worth it to make my own arrangements?

Here's a list of flowers in the US by season: http://weddings.about.com/od/weddingflow... but the problem is, it doesn't have pictures. So unless you know your flowers, you have to do a second search for images.

I think a better place to look is the Burpee seed catalog website. It has a really good search engine they call it the "plant finder" where you can click off exactly what you're looking for- including colors, so you can match your color theme if you have one. Choose the colors you want, and then for season choose "Mid" since you're getting married in late June. For everything else, pick "Any." You might want to run this search twice, once looking at annuals, and once at perennials. Here's the link: http://www.burpee.com/finder/productfind...

Definitely, you can make your own arrangements. Here are some instructions: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/makbouqand...

Just make them as close to the ceremony as possible and then put them in the fridge to keep them fresh. Have some vases of water at the reception that you can stick your bouquets in, that will help keep them fresh.

Reply:This may vary by the area of the country you're in. Call and ask a local florist. You could also go to a large supermarket, that has a floral department, and check out their prices.

I've been to a wedding where the bridesmaids carried a long stem cala lily. It was beautful. I think they were silk.

It could be worth making your own arrangements, if you

are considering articial flowers. They could be assembled ahead of time. Otherwise, fresh flowers will have to be put together at the last minute. You'll probably feel too stressed.
Reply:Im not sure about flowers but roses always work. And a single flower with the stem winded in ribbon is lovely for bridesmaids, they dont need a big bouquet you do. And doing it yourself will save cash but you have to be sure you can handle the presure.
Reply:roses, sweetpeas
