Is this a good wedding idea?

We're getting married in Europe. The tradition is that we (bride, groom) have to stand in one spot and greet all guests. We'll have two huge flower arrangements on each side. Wedding is in a garden, theme is old world, classic (think white and black movies - my passion). Colors are white, black and green with little hints of yellow.

I'm thinking, instead of having a tree behind us and the rest black background (after dark), to put up a white screen and project on it romantic w%26amp;b movie scenes in a nature setting.

But we'll have to stand in front of it, between screen and projector. Is this a good idea? We'll partially block the screen, but that's okay. But how would our clothes look in pictures with a movie running on top of us? (It's black and white). Wouldn't want it to interfere with her dress too much, although we are kinda going for the effect %26amp; personal touch in this part of the wedding and we would have more professional pics taken also.

What do you think? Thanks.

Why not project the movies from behind the screen? If you use a light screen or piece of light material, it will shine partially through.

Just make sure that the projector has a reverse projection feature, otherwise everything will be backwards.

If you want to go old school use an 8mm or 16mm http://8mm16mmfilmscollectibles.com/supe...
Reply:It sounds really cool to look at as a guest, but it may cause problems for the photographer. I would do a trial run first to see how it will turn out, and to make sure you like the way the pictures turn out. (Obviously you don't have to wear your wedding clothes for the trial run, just wear similiar colors to what you'll be wearing on your wedding day). Good luck!
Reply:I would not have the movie on your dress. It may sound OK, but when the pictures come back, you will wish you had not done that. Move the screen. Does it really have to be right there?
Reply:idk it sounds phenomenal- i would personally love my wedding to be like that. It's very classy and elegant. Have fun- it's a really creative idea
